About Me

About Me

My name is Vernon Weiss and I live in Western Montana USA, planet Earth (third rock from the Sun).  I have been married to my wife Ardee for 39 years (1972), and have two adult boys with 10 grandkids.

I have a 40 year “masters” degree in “Regular Joe”, including a 35 year “major” in construction trades and a 5 year “minor” in miscellanious “working for the man” jobs such as gas station attendent, counter help, assistant manager and the like.

Considering myself to be a “Regular Joe” and since my construction degree is in small demand at this time I have decided to look at reinventing myself and using my experience to look at new avenues of both expressing myself and to provide an income.  I also feel that there are those of you who could benefit from my experience, both in the successes and falures.

My walk with the Lord Jesus Christ began in my early grade school years and has continued to today.  It hasn’t had the trajectory of a moon shot, in fact it more probably resembles a graph on gasoline prices, plenty of ups but certainly downturns.  My desire is to grow closer in my walk with the Lord Jesus Christ every day and to share his wonderful gift with those I meet.

Vernon Weiss, aka “Regular Joe”

  1. Good Morning! Thanks for stopping and commenting on our blog. May God abundantly bless you!

  2. Thank you. It is nice and refreshing to meet you. I consider my self a “regular Joyce” also. I see myself as one who is humble, but what I realized is that-that is just who God wants to use. More than anyone, He wants to use the unexpected one to spread the Gospel of truth. Who do you know would have chosen a murder to speak and change lives. I know I would not have without the truth of God’s but God did. He chose Paul. I just wanted to encourage you in your humility to continue to release the truth in you and I will be watching…Regular Joe….

  3. Thank you for your kind words. When I started this blog in December I had an idea that it would meet the needs of 40 plus men looking for a daily devotional. I fit in that category. Like you mentioned God uses people you wouldn’t expect and he also brings people that I never dreamed of. It has been a humbling experience for me not to mention a growing experience as he has provided words and thoughts when I don’t have them. Thanks again

    Vern

  4. Hey Vern, a fellow-Montanan here, but from the flyover country of the east. I skimmed through several of your post, and like what you are doing. Continue the earnest effort of spreading His word!

  5. Hey Vern, because I so enjoy your blog, I’ve just nominated 5 G’s and a Cup of Joe for the Reader Appreciation Award. There are only a couple rules to follow, which I listed on the post at my site. Basically, link back to the sender (His Creation) and nominate 6 blogs that you follow which you would like others to enjoy also.

  6. Hey, Vernon,
How are you? Hope all is well. It’s been a long winter up there I think. Mild for us down here in Georgia, but Spring came with one of two nice days and has reverted to the cold, near winter, temperatures.

Just stopped by to offer the Lord’s Blessings to you and yours. May He Bless, Keep, and Shine upon y’all.

  7. I use Youtube to host my videos because it is free. Along with Cantrell, the
company’s Co-founders, Mark Adams and Bran Thayer, are also part of the corporate team.
Operating systems that can handle multi tasking must be used for the
    same purpose.

  8. Hunt for bargains and get the most for your money instead of buying a couple of
pieces and limiting yourself. The Sophia Smith collection
at Smith University in Northampton, Massachusetts is an
internationally recognized repository of manuscripts, photographs, letters and other historical documentation of women’s history,
one of the most complete and largest in the world. Closing thought: The price of wisdom is above rubies.
